Job Description

  • Source and procure materials and components for industrial and manufacturing projects.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure accurate pricing and uphold quality standards.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to maximise value for the business.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams to meet material requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues impacting timelines or budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry regulations.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives within the supply chain.
  • Manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.



The Successful Applicant

To succeed as a Project Buyer, you will have:

  • Previous experience in procurement or supply chain within industrial engineering or manufacturing.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement systems and tools.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific materials and components.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and cost optimisation.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings (desirable).
