Job Description

The key responsibilities for this Project Engineer role will be:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering projects within the production environment.
  • Ensure projects meet safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Support the BAU running of the department involving machine maintenance, breakdowns and repair.
  • Drive and lead on automation projects within the engineering department.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports.
  • Support troubleshooting and provide technical guidance as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Project Engineer should have:

  • Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working in the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Experience of automation projects.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with different teams.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations within the engineering sector.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.

What's on Offer

  • Hourly pay ranging from £27.00 to £35.00, dependent on the level of experience. Inside IR35.
  • Temporary contract for an initial 6 month period.
  • Onsite role near Manchester.
