Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to support production continuity, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage suppliers, contracts, pricing agreements, and service levels.
  • Monitor inventory levels and purchasing activities to ensure optimal stock availability and control costs.
  • Analyse market trends and supplier performance to identify savings opportunities, mitigate risks, and resolve supply issues.
  • Lead procurement operations, ensuring compliance, reporting on key metrics, and driving process improvements.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate would have:

  • Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, including supplier and contract management.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in ERP/procurement systems, Microsoft Excel, reporting, and budget management.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
  • Procurement certifications would be advantageous e.g. CIPS, CPSM, CPIM.
