Due to ongoing growth and investment, they are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their leadership team.Job DescriptionThis is a key leadership position responsible for developing and delivering the site's quality strategy, ensuring products, processes and systems consistently meet customer, regulatory and business requirements. Working as a member of the Site Leadership Team, you will champion quality standards across the operation, driving a culture of compliance, accountability and continuous improvement.You will act as the subject matter expert for quality management, leading audits, managing quality systems, overseeing quality control activities and supporting business-wide initiatives that enhance product quality and operational performance.Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver the site quality strategy aligned to group and divisional objectives.Develop, maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System.Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, customer and industry standards.Lead, mentor and develop the QA, QC and Hygiene teams.Act as the primary contact for customer audits, regulatory inspections and certification activities.Monitor, analyse and report on quality performance metrics and KPIs.Lead investigations into quality incidents, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.Partner with Production, Supply Chain and HSE teams to embed quality throughout the operation.Drive improvements in hygiene management and contamination control practices.Assess the impact of changes to processes, equipment and people on product quality and compliance.Promote a culture of continuous improvement through quality-focused initiatives and best practice.The Successful ApplicantThe ideal candidate will be an experienced Quality professional with a strong background in manufacturing and regulated production environments.You Will Have:Proven experience leading quality functions within manufacturing, chemical, FMCG or process industries.History of development and implementation of site QMSStrong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001, GMP and associated quality standards.Experience managing customer audits, regulatory inspections and certification processes.Excellent understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.Strong leadership skills with experience developing and managing quality teams.The ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and drive cultural change.A continuous improvement mindset; Lean and Six Sigma knowledge would be advantageous.Degree-level qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Quality Management or a related discipline (advantageous).Professional qualifications such as ISO Lead Auditor or Six Sigma certification would be beneficial.HACCP Level 4What's on OfferSenior level package inclusive of competitve salary, performance related bonus and car allowance#If you are ready to take the next step in your career as a Quality Manager within the FMCG industry, we encourage you to apply today.ContactLeigh HolmshawQuote job refJN-072026-7056111Phone number+44 113 243 7737Job summaryJob functionEngineering & ManufacturingSubsectorQuality, TechnicalSectorFMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods)LocationManchesterContract typePermanentConsultant nameLeigh HolmshawConsultant phone+44 113 243 7737Job referenceJN-072026-7056111
