Job Description

The Quantity Surveyor key responsibilities are:

  • Prepare and manage cost estimates and budgets for property projects.
  • Oversee contract administration and ensure compliance with terms.
  • Collaborate with project teams to monitor progress and control costs.
  • Conduct cost analysis and provide regular financial reports.
  • Assess and manage risks related to project costs.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and contractors to achieve value for money.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all financial aspects of projects.
  • Support the resolution of disputes and claims, if necessary.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Quantity Surveyor should have:

  • Experience working in the retail or property sector.
  • Strong skills in cost estimation, budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of contract administration and risk management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
  • A relevant qualification in quantity surveying or a related field.
