Job Description

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll take ownership of the commercial management of multiple projects, ensuring robust cost control, effective procurement, and successful financial outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing cost plans, budgets, and project estimates.
  • Managing procurement and tender processes, including contractor selection and negotiation.
  • Administering construction contracts and managing variations.
  • Producing financial reports, forecasts, and cashflow analyses.
  • Driving value engineering initiatives to maximise project value.
  • Managing project risks and ensuring commercial compliance.
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.
  • Supporting the successful delivery of fast-paced retail refurbishment and development programmes.



The Successful Applicant

  • Proven Quantity Surveying experience within retail, commercial, fit-out, or construction environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Experience working with JCT and/or NEC contracts.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
  • MRICS qualification, or working towards chartership, would be advantageous.
