Job Description

  • Act as a trusted HR partner, providing expert advice and guidance to managers across a broad range of people matters.
  • Support the delivery of business objectives through effective HR business partnering and practical people solutions.
  • Lead and manage complex employee relations cases, ensuring commercially focused and legally compliant outcomes.
  • Coach and develop managers to build confidence and capability in managing performance, engagement and employee issues.
  • Design and deliver training and development initiatives to strengthen leadership and management capability.
  • Support organisational change, restructuring activities and wider business transformation projects.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the HR Business Plan and key people initiatives.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to drive a positive and high-performing culture.
  • Mentor and support junior members of the HR team, sharing knowledge and best practice.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Utilise HR systems and data to support decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Travel to other business locations as required.

The Successful Applicant

  • CIPD qualified HR professional with a strong generalist HR background.
  • Proven experience operating in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment, ideally within Financial Services or another regulated sector.
  • Strong employee relations expertise, with the ability to manage complex and sensitive cases independently.
  • Demonstrable experience across the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, performance management, talent development and organisational change.
  • Excellent coaching and influencing skills, with a track record of building management capability and partnering effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Commercially minded and pragmatic, able to balance business needs with employee experience and risk management.
  • Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating effectively within a wider HR team.
  • Experience mentoring or developing junior HR colleagues.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Confident using HR systems and data to support decision-making, with Workday experience highly desirable.
  • Resilient, proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
