Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsGeneralist commercial counsel role at a well-known charitable trustAdvising on contractual arrangements, IP, grants/funding and partnerships.About Our ClientA well-known charitable trust based in London.Job DescriptionResponsibilities with this role include:Structuring, drafting and negotiating agreements for a wide variety of charitable partnerships, including commercial contracts, grants, IP licences, novel investment models, revenue-sharing arrangements and data agreements.Advising colleagues, on the drafting and execution of grant agreements, including tailoring agreements for individuals, unincorporated groups and commercial entities, and advise on IP ownership and commercialisation, indemnities, onfunding obligations and other queries.Act as business partner to the Fundraising teams on a variety of issues, including advising and supporting them with drafting, negotiating and advising on a wide range of fundraising agreements.Act as Company Secretary for the Foundation's three subsidiary companies.Act as deputy data protection lead, supporting the primary data protection lead through providing training to colleagues and ensuring the foundation's mandated practice is understood and followed.Drafting, maintaining and updating internal guidelines, policies and standard-form documents as well as creating policy and process efficiencies.The post-holder will also be required to attend the London offices, 2 or 3 days per week.The Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate will be a Solicitor (qualified in the UK or another equivalent Common Law Jurisdiction).They will be likely to have at least 5 years of post qualification experience.Essential:Experience in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and sound knowledge of the law of England and WalesDesirable:Experience in drafting and reviewing grant agreementsFamiliarity with the charity sector and charity lawSome familiarity with health/social care/voluntary sector technical language and organisationsSome familiarity with basic financial and grants related terms and conceptsUnfortunately this role is not available to candidates requiring sponsorship in order to work in the UK.What's on OfferThis role is paying circa £75,000 basic salary as well as benefits.
