Our client is a long‑established, family‑run, B2B retail company based in London. Following sustained year‑on‑year growth, the organisation is now strengthening its finance function to support the next phase of expansion and ensure long‑term operational and commercial success.

Job Description

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts, and annual budgets, with clear variance analysis and insight for senior stakeholders.
  • Support ongoing enhancement of the ERP system (MS Dynamics 365) and broader systems development.
  • Manage core month‑end processes including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Deliver commercial analysis across revenue, margins, and overall performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships across finance and non‑finance teams, providing support and development to junior colleagues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across reporting, controls, and financial processes.

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified CIMA / ACCA accountant, or equivalent.
  • Strong management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting background.
  • Confident owning P&Ls and producing clear, insightful reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong overall systems/IT capability.
  • Experience improving finance processes and supporting ERP or system implementations (knowledge with MS Dynamics 365 is desirable, not essential)
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical ability and the confidence to challenge and explain financial data.
  • Highly organised; able to prioritise, multitask, and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive, solutions‑oriented communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
