The role will be predominantly office based due to the nature of projects, however, WFH will be available.Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities:Preparation and review of management accounts for several of the venues, analysing the financial performance and providing meaningful commentary.Supporting finance team with queries from suppliersSupporting finance team with finance related queries from operational team and venue management, ensuring end of week variances are fully investigated, followed up on and reported to relevant parties.Preparation, review and submission of quarterly VAT returns for the estateResponsible for the accounting preparation, VAT submission and year end accounts for smaller connected business entitiesProcessing, monitoring and reporting on head office expense management systemSupporting energy consumption agendaWorking closely with operational team and venue management to ensure financial data is accurate and aligned with the business objectivesAssisting with the production of statutory year end accounts and liaising with external auditors during year end auditSupervision and development of the finance teamSupporting financial controller and finance director with ad hoc projectsThe Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate will likely have the following profile:Experience of line managing a small finance team and willingness to be hands on, flexible and adaptableAnalytical and problem solver - ability to recognise problems, investigate source of problem and propose a solution to fix or improve the issueAbility to build rapport and effective working relationships with individuals at all levels within the companyWillingness to utilise AI tools that are aligned with the company AI policyWhat's on OfferThis role offers a competitive salary between £50,000-£60,000 DOE.
