The Senior Payroll Specialist will manage payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance within the property industry. This role requires expertise in payroll systems and a strong understanding of accounting and finance practices.The Senior Payroll Advisor oversees accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery across multiple EMEA and APAC countries while acting as the key link between HR, finance, and third‑party payroll providers.

Job Description

  • Oversee accurate and timely payroll delivery across EMEA and APAC regions.
  • Ensure compliance with the global payroll calendar and escalate recurring issues with providers.
  • Consolidate approvals and submit regional payroll for final payment authorization.
  • Act as the key liaison between the business, HR Shared Services, and external payroll providers.
  • Review and sign off annual payroll calendars, ensuring public holidays are correctly applied.
  • Respond to employee and HR Shared Services payroll escalation queries promptly.
  • Support internal and external audits to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate new payroll implementations with stakeholders and providers.
  • Manage benefits administration processes accurately and on time.
  • Lead and mentor junior payroll advisors, promoting knowledge sharing and best practice.
  • Handle complex payroll escalations, disputes, and interactions with regulatory bodies.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as system upgrades, new payroll launches, and policy implementation.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Payroll Specialist should have:

  • Extensive experience managing multi‑country payroll operations, ideally across EMEA and/or APAC.
  • Strong knowledge of regional payroll legislation, compliance standards, and global payroll governance.
  • Proven ability to review, approve, and troubleshoot complex payroll calculations.
  • Experience working with third‑party payroll providers and handling escalations.
  • Strong understanding of payroll controls, audits, and risk management.
  • Ability to manage benefits administration and oversee accuracy across multiple regions.
  • Experience implementing new payrolls, systems, or process improvements.
  • Ability to partner with HR, finance, and senior leadership on payroll strategy and compliance.
  • Strong communication skills for managing stakeholder queries and cross‑functional coordination.
  • Leadership capability to mentor and support junior payroll team members.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, especially when handling complex escalations or disputes.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines across multiple countries.
