An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Solicitor in Warrington to join the in-house legal team of a major global defence and nuclear engineering organisation. This role offers exposure to complex commercial contracts, bids and strategic projects across highly regulated sectors. Job Description

The Senior Solicitor will be:

  • Providing legal advice and support on commercial contracts, including clean energy and international projects.
  • Leading on the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of complex agreements, including Joint Ventures, Teaming Agreements, MOUs, and high-value supply chain contracts.
  • Advising on a broad range of commercial contracts within defence and engineering projects
  • Providing legal guidance to internal stakeholders and managing external lawyers.
  • Providing ad hoc legal advice.

The Successful Applicant

The Senior Solicitor should be:

  • A solicitor or equivalent with 5+ years PQE in commercial law.
  • Experienced in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
  • Comfortable advising stakeholders within large, multi-disciplinary organisations
  • Experience in defence and military, engineering, infrastructure or highly regulated sectors would be advantageous
  • Commercially minded with the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives
