Job Description

  • Prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations.
  • Provide expert advice on tax planning opportunities and potential risks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver comprehensive tax solutions to clients.
  • Assist in tax audits and liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and communicate implications to stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation of VAT returns and address related queries.
  • Contribute to the development of tax processes and controls within the department.
  • Deliver timely and accurate reports to senior management and clients.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Tax Accountant should have:

  • A recognised qualification in accounting or tax, such as ACA, ACCA, or CTA.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns, including corporate and VAT.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • The ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly to clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
