Job Description

  • Prepare and review corporate tax computations and returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Provide expert advice on tax planning and strategies to optimise tax efficiency within the property sector.
  • Manage VAT compliance, including preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate reporting of tax-related matters.
  • Support audits and liaise with external advisors and tax authorities as needed.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their potential impact on the organisation.
  • Assist in the development of internal tax policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on tax-related matters.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Tax Accountant should have:

  • Part Qualified in accounting or taxation (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CTA, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations, particularly within the property industry.
  • Proven ability to prepare and review corporate tax and VAT returns with high accuracy.
  • Previous experience in VAT Property.
  • Strong excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in liaising with tax authorities and external advisors.
  • Proficiency in tax software and financial systems.
