Job Description

  • Manage and grow sales across the South East territory, developing both existing accounts and new business
  • Build strong relationships with end users, contractors, utilities and public sector clients
  • Work closely with distribution partners, supporting joint sales activity and account development
  • Deliver hands‑on product demonstrations and technical presentations on site
  • Maintain and manage an active sales pipeline using CRM tools
  • Identify new market opportunities and convert leads into long‑term customers
  • Support and train partners to maximise product adoption and sales performance
  • Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions and industry events
  • Provide regular market intelligence and customer feedback to internal teams
  • Travel extensively within the territory, using a company van and staying overnight when required

The Successful Applicant

A successful Technical Sales Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in field‑based B2B sales, ideally within a technical, mechanical or engineered products environment
  • Comfortable managing a large territory and working autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Confident selling through a mix of direct end‑user and distributor/partner channels
  • Hands‑on and practical, with the ability to deliver on‑site product demonstrations and training
  • Strong relationship‑builder with contractors, utilities, public sector clients and merchants
  • Commercially driven, self‑motivated and resilient with a consultative sales approach
  • Highly organised, with strong CRM, pipeline management and reporting skills
  • Willing to travel extensively across the South East, including overnight stays when required
