Our client is a multi-site education organisation seeking an experienced transformation professional to support a major programme of operational and service improvement.

Job Description

  • Lead the delivery of a complex transformation programme across SEND, Alternative Provision and specialist education settings.
  • Develop and implement robust financial controls, reporting frameworks and budget monitoring processes.
  • Review expenditure, contracts, agency spend and existing financial commitments.
  • Create operational dashboards, governance reporting and performance tracking tools.
  • Support service redesign and the implementation of a sustainable operating model.
  • Establish project plans, milestones, risk registers and programme delivery frameworks.
  • Develop commissioning strategies, service specifications and contract monitoring processes.
  • Implement quality assurance frameworks, compliance systems and audit schedules.
  • Create and embed policies, procedures and operational standards across multiple sites.
  • Coordinate premises improvement programmes, contractors and facilities projects.
  • Strengthen partnerships with education providers, local authorities and external stakeholders.
  • Produce high-quality documentation, reports and governance papers to support decision-making.
  • Ensure transformation initiatives are implemented, embedded and deliver measurable outcomes.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Transformation Operations Project Manager should have:

    • Recognised Project Management qualification (PRINCE2,APM,MSP or equivalent).
    • Proven experience delivering complex organisational transformation programmes.
    • Strong background within education, SEND, Alternative Provision, specialist schools, local authority services or a comparable public-sector environment.
    • Experience operating within multi-site organisations.
    • Strong financial management, budgeting and reporting expertise.
    • Commissioning, procurement and contract management experience.
    • Experience of service redesign, implementation and operational improvement.
    • Knowledge of quality assurance, compliance and performance management frameworks.
    • Experience developing policies, procedures and governance controls.
    • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneously.
    • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
    • Strong analytical, reporting and documentation skills.
    • Experience coordinating facilities, premises or capital improvement projects.
