Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsInterim Treasury & Financial Accountant 6 Month Contract - Hybrid RoleImmediate Start Day Rate £600-750About Our ClientPublic Sector organisation operating just outside London.Job DescriptionLead on cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning to optimise investment opportunitiesDevelop and implement investment strategies aligned with the Council's Treasury Management Policy.Prepare statutory treasury reports, including the Treasury Management Strategy Statement (TMSS), mid-year review, and annual report.Ensure compliance with the CIPFA Treasury Management Code and other relevant legislation.Support the Council's VAT function, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with treasury activities, including interest rate risk and counterparty risk.To undertake other duties which may arise or as may be delegated from time to time, commensurate with the skills required for this post.To deliver services effectively, the council requires a degree of flexibility from its workforce, whereby staff are required to perform work not specifically specified on their job description to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services subject to the needs of the business.The Successful ApplicantA successful Finance Manager will have:A professional qualification in accounting or finance, such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.Strong Treasury experience in Local Government.Proficiency in financial systems and tools.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.Solid understanding of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.What's on OfferDaily rate of £630 to £770, dependent on the level of experience.Opportunity to work in the Greater London.Temporary position offering flexibility and a chance to make an impact.If you're interested in this role, and you have proven experience in Local Government, apply now.People are at the heart of Michael Page.
