Job Description

  • Oversee VAT compliance and reporting processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with current regulations.
  • Work closely with internal teams to provide VAT-related advice and support.
  • Monitor changes in VAT legislation and implement necessary process adjustments.
  • Collaborate with external advisors and auditors as required.
  • Identify opportunities for VAT efficiencies and risk mitigation.
  • Support the accounting and finance department with ad hoc tax queries.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for VAT audits and compliance checks.

The Successful Applicant

A successful VAT Manager should have:

  • A strong background in VAT compliance and reporting, preferably within the FMCG industry.
  • Relevant qualifications in accounting, tax, or finance.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK VAT legislation and its application.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
