    Michael Page recruitment in Nottingham

Michael Page are among the leading Nottingham recruitment consultants. We work with employers and individuals alike, with the aim to ensure the best possible match for vacancies advertised in the city, to generate maximum value for recruiter and employee alike, and to support the local economy as a result.

Nottingham is forever associated with the legend of Robin Hood and his arch-rival, the Sheriff of Nottingham. Step out of the railway station's platform exit and arrivals into the city are faced by the Nottingham City Council offices in Loxley House, named after the outlaw's pseudonym, Robin of Loxley. A statue of the medieval archer, who famously robbed the rich to give to the poor, stands in a public square on Castle Road.

With a history dating back to at least 600 AD, Nottingham is home to several major businesses. One of the city's greatest success stories is Boots the Chemist, which was founded in Nottingham in 1849 by John Boot. His son Jesse Boot later took over the business and grew it to become a nationwide brand. The first female head of MI5, Stella Rimington, studied at Nottingham High School for Girls, and Lord Byron lived at nearby Newstead Abbey. His grave, as well as that of his daughter, the mathematician and computer scientist Ada Lovelace, can be found at St Mary Magdalene Church in Hucknall.
