This role offers the opportunity to become a key member of the leadership team, helping to shape strategy, improve performance and support the organisation's long-term ambitions.Job DescriptionReporting directly to the CEO, you will be the most senior full-time finance professional within the Group, working closely with the Board and Fractional CFO.This is a broad leadership position combining financial control, commercial finance and strategic business partnering. Whilst the role retains responsibility for statutory reporting, governance and financial stewardship, the successful candidate will play a key role in transforming financial information into meaningful business insight.Key responsibilities include:Leading the finance function across the Group and its subsidiariesProducing consolidated management accounts and Board reportingDelivering commercial insight to support strategic decision-makingLeading budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planningPartnering with the CEO and senior leadership team to improve business performanceDeveloping reporting frameworks, KPIs and profitability analysisManaging the Group audit and statutory reporting processSupporting growth initiatives, investment decisions and operational improvementsLeading and developing a small finance teamAttending Board meetings and contributing to business strategyThe Successful ApplicantFor this Commercial Head of Finance or Commercial Financial Controller opportunity, we are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong blend of financial leadership and commercial acumen.You will likely be operating as a Financial Controller, Head of Finance or potentially a Finance Business Partner or Finance Director within an SME, entrepreneurial or growth-focused environment.You will also demonstrate:Strong technical accounting and reporting capabilityExperience presenting to senior stakeholders or BoardsA commercial mindset with the ability to influence outcomesThe ability to turn data into actionable business insightStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsA hands-on approach and willingness to operate across both strategic and operational activitiesAmbition to develop into a broader Finance Director position over timeWhat's on OfferBase salary of £70,000-£85,000 depending on experience5% matched pension contributionPermanent Health InsuranceOpportunity to work closely with the CEO and BoardSignificant influence over business performance and strategyExposure to a listed reporting environmentGenuine progression opportunity towards Finance Director responsibilityThis is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance leader looking to combine commercial influence, strategic exposure and hands-on leadership within a growing business.People are at the heart of Michael Page.
