The team is looking to hire two lawyers, one at a junior to mid-level and one at a more senior level, with flexibility for candidates focused on contentious work, non-contentious work, or a combination of both.

The team acts for a diverse client base ranging from developers, contractors and consultants through to funders, occupiers and major international businesses, providing strategic advice on some of the market's most interesting projects and disputes.

Job Description

Working as part of a collaborative and growing construction practice, you will advise clients on a broad range of construction and engineering matters.The team is keen to speak with candidates from both contentious and non-contentious backgrounds, as well as those who enjoy a mix of the two disciplines. The work includes contract drafting and negotiation, project advisory work, dispute avoidance strategies, adjudications, litigation, arbitration, mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.You will work closely with clients throughout the lifecycle of major projects, providing commercially focused advice and helping to manage risk on high-value and technically complex matters. There will also be opportunities to contribute to business development initiatives and build long-term client relationships.

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified construction lawyer from a recognised law firm.
  • Experience in contentious construction, non-contentious construction, or both.
  • Strong drafting, technical and analytical skills.
  • Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • Able to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Comfortable working on complex, high-value matters.
  • Enthusiastic about developing their career within a growing team.
