Job Description

  • Develop and review data management policies to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on data-related matters to internal stakeholders.
  • Draft and review legal documents, agreements, and policies pertaining to data governance.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data management challenges.
  • Monitor legal developments in data management and assess their impact on the organisation.
  • Support training initiatives to promote awareness of data management policies.
  • Assist in handling data-related disputes and investigations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Data Management Policy Lawyer should have:

  • Solicitor or barrister fully qualified to practise in England and Wales and a strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations.
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing legal documents and policies.
  • Knowledge of data governance and regulatory compliance in the public sector.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
