Job Description

  • Support lawyers on financing transactions by coordinating KYC requirements.
  • Liaise with lenders, clients, and external advisers regarding compliance documentation.
  • Manage and maintain client information databases and KYC resources.
  • Assist with Companies House searches, registrations, and transaction formalities.
  • Draft transaction-related documents, including board resolutions and certificates.
  • Track and monitor leveraged finance market activity and trends.
  • Report completed transactions for business development and knowledge purposes.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of finance know-how materials.
  • Support knowledge management initiatives across the finance team.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate documentation across multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Assist with training and knowledge-sharing activities where appropriate.
  • Take ownership of key processes and become a subject matter expert.
  • Support additional transactional and administrative projects as required.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least six months' experience in a legal, compliance, or KYC-focused role.
  • Experience gained within a law firm, financial institution, or professional services environment.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence liaising with clients and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to work independently.
  • Interest in leveraged finance or financial markets.
  • Strong team-working and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities.
  • Experience drafting legal or corporate documentation is advantageous.
  • LPC qualification desirable but not essential
