Job Description

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for products using historical data and market trends.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing and supply chain teams to align demand planning with business objectives.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability across all distribution channels.
  • Analyse and report on demand variances, providing actionable insights to improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Manage and update planning systems and tools to reflect current demand patterns.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders to streamline the supply chain process.
  • Identify potential supply chain risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Support new product launches by forecasting demand and ensuring stock readiness.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Demand Planner should have:

  • Experience in demand planning within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data effectively.
  • Proficiency in Excel and demand planning tools/software.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
