Job Description

  • Advising employer clients on a wide range of employment law issues, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, redundancies, restructures, and day‑to‑day HR matters.
  • Drafting employment contracts, consultancy agreements, policies, settlement agreements, and other HR documentation.
  • Handling Employment Tribunal claims from instruction to hearing, including drafting pleadings and witness statements and managing disclosure.
  • Providing employment support on corporate transactions, including due diligence and drafting warranties and indemnities.
  • Assisting with sensitive matters such as senior exits, investigations, TUPE issues, and complex employment disputes.
  • Building strong client relationships and contributing to the team's business development efforts.

The Successful Applicant

  • UK‑qualified solicitor with 1-5 years' PQE in employment law; candidates slightly outside this range may also be considered.
  • Solid experience advising employer clients on both contentious and non‑contentious matters.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload with appropriate supervision.
  • Strong drafting ability and a pragmatic, commercial mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in working with clients at all levels.
  • A collaborative team player with enthusiasm for contributing to the growth of the practice.
