An established London law firm is seeking a Family Paralegal to join its highly regarded team on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will support lawyers on a broad range of complex family matters, acting for high-net-worth individuals and families across both contentious and non-contentious work.

Job Description

  • Assist fee earners and partners on a broad range of family law matters
  • Support cases involving divorce and financial remedy proceedings
  • Assist with private children matters and related applications
  • Prepare legal documents, court bundles, and correspondence
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries
  • Liaise with clients, barristers, experts, and third parties
  • Manage document review and disclosure exercises
  • Assist with mediation, arbitration, and negotiated settlements
  • Maintain accurate matter records and case management systems
  • Support business development and client relationship activities
  • Attend meetings, hearings, and client appointments where required
  • Manage deadlines and competing priorities effectively
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Provide general administrative and legal support to the Family team

The Successful Applicant

  • Previous experience as a Family Paralegal is essential
  • Strong understanding of family law procedures and processes
  • Experience supporting financial and/or children matters
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload effectively
  • High level of attention to detail
