Job Description

  • Oversee daily financial operations, including budgeting and cash flow management.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and forecasts to support decision-making.
  • Maintain compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Manage the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Supervise and support the accounting team in their daily tasks.
  • Monitor company performance against budgets and highlight variances.
  • Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and advice.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • A professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage financial reporting and budgeting processes.
  • Experience in the energy and natural resources sector is advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and solving financial challenges.
