An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands on Financial Controller to join a well established SME business that is currently undergoing a period of positive change and investment in West Yorkshire. This position would particularly suit a qualified or qualified by experience finance professional seeking a broad role within an SME environment where they can influence decision making and contribute to the continued development of the business.

Job Description

  • Manage and oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Supporting group reporting requirements and financial consolidations.
  • Assisting with year-end processes.
  • Managing purchase ledger and sales ledger activities.
  • Processing and ownership of payroll.
  • Daily and weekly cash flow management and forecasting.
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Providing financial analysis and performance insights to management.
  • Reviewing and improving financial controls and procedures.
  • Streamlining finance processes and reporting.

The Successful Applicant

  • Previous experience in a standalone Finance Manager, Company Accountant or Financial Controller position.
  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified finance professionals are preferred, qualified by experience will be considered.
  • A proactive and hands on approach.
  • Strong Excel and systems skills.
  • The confidence to operate independently and take ownership of the finance function.
