Genpower has retained Michael Page to lead the search for a Financial Controller based in Pembroke Dock. This is a key leadership role, taking ownership of the finance function and delivering accurate financial reporting, robust controls, and commercial insight to support business growth. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll help drive performance, improve processes, and support strategic decision-making across the organisation.

Job Description

  • Oversee day-to-day financial control activities to maintain accurate and timely finance information.
  • Prepare and review financial reports to give colleagues a clear view of business performance.
  • Maintain effective finance processes that support consistent reporting across the business.
  • Review financial data, identify variances and provide clear explanations for key movements.
  • Work closely with the Accounting & Finance department to deliver reliable management information.
  • Manage the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support planning and decision-making.
  • Improve finance reporting processes where practical, helping to make information easier to use.
  • Provide clear financial insight to support the wider retail operation in Pembroke Dock.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Controller' should have:

  • Strong experience in financial control and management reporting.
  • Ability to review financial data, investigate variances and explain findings clearly.
  • Experience preparing budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
  • Confidence producing accurate financial reports for business stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of finance processes and how they support reliable reporting.
  • Ability to improve reporting processes and maintain organised financial information.
