Job Description

  • Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Oversee financial reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to senior leadership to support decision-making.
  • Manage cash flow, investments, and financial risk effectively.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and systems.
  • Supervise and develop the finance team, fostering strong performance and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Identify opportunities for financial efficiency and cost-saving initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Finance should have:

  • A professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Strong experience in financial management and leadership roles.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic financial guidance to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and team management abilities.
  • Experience within the Further Education sector is essential.
