Job Description

  • Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Provide commercial insight and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Deliver robust budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management processes.
  • Improve financial controls, reporting capability and management information.
  • Partner closely with operational and commercial teams to drive business performance.
  • Lead finance systems and process improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee inventory, margin and working capital performance.
  • Support business growth projects, including potential acquisition activity.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders and the leadership team.

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent).
  • Proven finance leadership experience within a commercial business.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and challenge performance data.
  • Experience within stock-intensive, operational or supply chain-led environments.
  • Strong understanding of financial control, reporting and business partnering.
  • Systems and process improvement experience.
  • Confidence to influence senior stakeholders and provide constructive challenge.
  • Collaborative leadership style with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
  • Commercially astute, inquisitive and driven by continuous improvement.
