Job Description

  • Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes effectively.
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting activities to support business objectives.
  • Supervise the finance team to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
  • Support audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes as necessary.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Financial Controller should have:

  • A professional qualification in accounting (e.g., ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).
  • Proven experience in a financial management or controller role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in the life science industry would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and software.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
