About Our Client

Our client is an international financial conglomerate who operates both a retail banking and corporate banking division across the UK/EU.

Job Description

  • Conduct detailed customer due diligence and verify client documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and assess potential risks associated with customer accounts and transactions.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all KYC documentation and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Identify and escalate any unusual or suspicious activity to the appropriate team.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of KYC processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve compliance-related queries or issues.
  • Keep informed of changes to relevant laws and regulations impacting KYC and compliance.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits related to KYC compliance.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

  • Fluent in Portuguese (essential).
  • Experience in customer due diligence or compliance within the Financial Services industry OR a recent Commerce/Business/Finance/Law degree.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
