Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsWork for a global law firmWork on litigation, arbitration and investigation matters from start to finish.About Our ClientThis organisation is a global law firm that serves a broad range of clients in corporate transactions, litigation, restructurings and intellectual property matters.Job DescriptionManages document production processes - hard copy, electronic, etc.Collects material from client, opposing parties, and third parties (hard copies, electronic data, physical evidence)Tracks and progresses materials through the document management system or case milestonesManages logistics of production of documents - hard copy, imagesResponsible for case management in relation to documents and document management systemsSubstantive legal researchAnalyses documents and materialsPerforms factual researchCoordinates preparation and filing of briefs and legal documentsChecks legal cites for proper format, content and standingProofreads documentsCompiles appendices and exhibits/bundlesInteracts with external entities such as: clients, government agencies, expert witnesses,consultants, other law firms, opposing parties and court personnelManages preparation for witness statements and witness interviewsManages preparation of witness and other case related filesAssists in preparation of witness interview outlinesManages trial and hearing preparation and supportCompiles and tracks trial exhibitsPrepares pre-trial documentsCommunicates with and coordinates witnesses, consultants, expertsAssists team members in compiling material for business development, marketing, articles and pitches.Manages the departments know how system and SharePoint sitesDevelops best practices in the London office.The Successful ApplicantA successful Litigation Paralegal should have:Knowledge of filing documents with the High Court and the Civil Procedure Rules essential.Ability to use initiative, anticipates needs, act without direction, asks questions. Takes ownership of tasks.Ability to organise and prioritise numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.Willing to take risks, seek challenges, take over difficult or unconventional projects; can take on a project at any stage.Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate and follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of clients, attorneys and staff to provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact.Work requires additional hours to perform the essential duties of the position.Ability to work effectively and efficiently with co-workers; work as a team to accomplish tasks and produce final work product.
