This opportunity is with a medium-sized organisation in Burton-on-Trent who are looking to add a Management Accountant to their team in a newly created position.

The position is a hybrid role in Burton-on-Trent and is a great opportunity for someone who is close to completing their Accounting Qualifications or has recently qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).

Job Description

  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the wider business.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate consolidation of group financial statements.
  • Analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes across the group.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and audits.
  • Maintain and improve financial controls and processes within the organisation.
  • Provide support for ad hoc financial projects and initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Group Management Accountant should have:

  • A recognised accounting qualification or is close to completion (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
