As a Management Accountant at this children's charity in London, you will be responsible for budgeting, management accountants, forecasting and partnering with budget holders to provide financial insight and guide decision-making. The role also supervises an Assistant Management Accountant and supports broader finance and reporting services.

Job Description

  • Prepare accurate budgets and forecasts for financial planning.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
  • Manage month-end and year-end processes, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Influence decision-making by providing financial insights and analysis.
  • Work with teams to ensure proper allocation and use of resources.
  • Assist in maintaining financial controls and procedures.
  • Produce reports for internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Work closely with auditors and provide necessary documentation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • Proven experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience working in the not-for-profit sector is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
