This is a fully office based role in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

Job Description

  • Prepare and manage monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timelines.
  • Monitor budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and providing recommendations.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and analysis for senior management.
  • Manage cash flow and oversee financial controls within the organisation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Assist in year-end audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
  • Provide financial insight to help drive business decisions and strategy.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • Professional qualifications in accounting or finance, such as ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Experience with international accounting.
  • Proven experience in preparing management accounts and financial reports.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements in the UK.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
