The site plays a key role in supporting the UK construction sector and is recognised for its long-standing presence in the region and contribution to the local economy.Job DescriptionAs the successful Process Engineer you will be responsible for tracking key process parameters used to optimise performance as well as processing data, regularly monitoring the parameters relating to plant operation. On a day to day basis, duties and responsibilities of the Process Engineer will include (not exhaustive):Conducting process studies/audits and generating reports as required to identify improvements and cost saving opportunitiesMaking recommendations for modifications on various control parameters and processesEnsuring process checks are scheduled and completed as per departmental objectivesIdentifying power reduction projects and continually improving and optimising the plant to reduce powerOptimising fuel consumption and prioritising the increased use of alternative fuels and alternative raw materialsBe the site "expert" in process related issuesLiaising with the Central Industrial Performance team regarding process issuesMaintaining and improving Health Safety and Environmental standardsProviding process engineering input to capital projectsThe Successful ApplicantA successful Process Engineer should have:IChemE associate (working towards or willing to attain chartered engineering status)Experience in Safety and Environmental laws and regulations with high safety standards and a wide knowledge of Health and Safety management techniquesProven experience in process engineering (preferably the cement industry) or other relevant industryGeneral knowledge in physics, chemistry, thermodynamics and IT.Good knowledge of process control methods and statistical methods for troubleshooting.What's on OfferSalary ranging from £42,300 to £51,700, dependent on the level of experience.Up to 13% overall pension contribution.Private medical cover.Up to 8% performance bonus.Generous holiday entitlement.If you're interested in this role, apply now.People are at the heart of Michael Page.
