As a Senior HR Coordinator in the Building and Construction industry based in Hemel Hempstead, you'll play a key role in keeping HR operations running smoothly. From handling day-to-day HR tasks to supporting the team with administrative duties, you'll ensure everything is well-organised and efficient.

About Our Client

The client is a growing organisation in the building and construction industry based in Hemel Hempstead. Due to continued growth, they are currently recruiting for a Senior HR Coordinator to join their team on a temp to perm basis (can also consider permanent applications). You will be working alongside a supportive and friendly HR team, and be responsible for administration for the full employee lifecycle, such as issuing contracts and offer letters, answering first line queries, managing the shared HR inbox etc.. Please note this is a fast paced, high volume environment, so would suit someone who has previously worked in dynamic organisations.

Job Description

HR Information Systems (HRIS) & Data

  • Maintain and develop the HRIS, ensuring data integrity, effective workflows, and reliable reporting.
  • Act as the main point of contact for HR system queries and support ongoing improvements and integrations.



Onboarding & Lifecycle Administration

  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance and a smooth employee experience.
  • Prepare contracts, offer letters, and variations, and ensure accurate employee records.
  • Coordinate pre-employment checks including right-to-work and references.



Benefits & Reward Support

  • Administer employee benefits (e.g. pensions, private medical cover, life assurance) - including liaising with brokers and providers as applicable - and respond to employee queries.
  • Support benefit scheme renewals and changes.
  • Liaise with payroll to ensure accurate benefit-related processing.



Continuous Improvement

  • Support internal HR audits and regulatory reporting.
  • Support reviews and improvements to HR processes and documentation.
  • Contribute to integration of new businesses and implementation of systems and tools that support a growing Group structure.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior HR Coordinator should have:

  • Previous experience in a fast paced HR Coordination role
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of HR processes and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using HR software and systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An understanding of current employment laws and regulations.
  • Live locally to Hemel Hempstead, able to work full time (40 hours per week) 3 days per week on site
