Job Description

  • Lead and develop the Individual Giving team, managing three direct reports and driving high performance against ambitious fundraising targets.
  • Shape and deliver the Individual Giving strategy, aligning fundraising activity with wider organisational objectives.
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio including cash appeals, donor acquisition, paid social, telemarketing, raffles, lotteries, in-memory giving and legacy fundraising.
  • Embed a test-and-learn culture, continuously optimising campaigns to improve supporter acquisition, retention and lifetime value.
  • Use data, insight and ROI analysis to inform decision-making, forecasting, budgeting and campaign performance.
  • Manage and enhance multi-channel supporter journeys, ensuring an excellent donor experience across all touchpoints.
  • Work closely with marketing, communications, finance and supporter care teams to deliver integrated fundraising campaigns.
  • Identify new income opportunities, monitor sector trends and ensure all fundraising activity remains compliant with relevant regulations and best practice.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience in Individual Giving fundraising, with a track record of delivering income growth across donor acquisition and retention programmes.
  • Strong background in developing and implementing fundraising strategies, with a test-and-learn approach to maximise performance.
  • Demonstrable experience managing integrated direct marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital and offline activity.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to interpret data, evaluate campaign results and use insights to drive fundraising decisions.
  • Experienced in budget management, forecasting and reporting against income targets and KPIs.
  • Effective people leader with experience line managing and developing teams to achieve strong results.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to influence senior colleagues and collaborate across fundraising, marketing, finance and supporter care functions.
  • Knowledge of fundraising compliance, data protection and supporter stewardship, with experience managing agencies and external suppliers.

What's on Offer

  • Salary of £50,000 to £55,000, dependent on the level of experience.
  • Permanent role based in London.
  • 3 days per week in London office
