Job Description

You will advise on a wide range of complex rail and infrastructure matters, including:

  • Rail infrastructure development and operations
  • Passenger and freight projects
  • Rolling stock procurement, maintenance, leasing and financing
  • Commercial contracts and concessions
  • Regulatory, access and competition matters
  • Industry reform and strategic projects
  • Rail-related disputes and risk management



The role offers exposure to high-profile domestic and international matters, working alongside recognised sector specialists and advising a blue-chip client base. There will also be opportunities to work across broader transport, infrastructure and projects matters where required.

The Successful Applicant

The team is looking for a commercially minded lawyer with:

  • Strong experience in rail, transport, infrastructure or projects work.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Experience advising on complex commercial contracts and transactions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
  • The ability to manage matters independently and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to practice.



This role would suit a senior-level lawyer looking for exposure to high-quality rail and infrastructure work within a highly regarded team on an interim basis.
