The role of the Operations Manager is to effectively lead the team that manages our retail customer order across Europe. Working closely with the Sales, Marketing Finance & Planning teams to deliver a high level of service and account management with existing retailers.

Job Description

Temporary Operations and Order Manager, Reading

  • Managing team processing orders, liaising with warehouse and 3PL across Europe
  • Effective leadership of the sales operations team to facilitate orders of our customer accounts across UK and Europe.
  • Develop retail customer relationships, ensuring you have a full understanding of their Logistical requirements and coordinate the team to deliver on these.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, with a clear understanding of our brands and expertise.
  • Maintaining customer data through our systems, sales forecast, and activity reports.
  • Plan workflow effectively based on forecast and demand with our 3PL partners across Europe.
  • Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
  • Delivery of weekly and month end Financial and Operational report
  • Manage the dispute process and allocate resource to reduce further re-occurrence.

The Successful Applicant

Temporary Operations and Order Manager, Reading

  • Proven knowledge of operations within logistics or supply chain.
  • Ideally FMCG or small consumer goods experience, if you are purely service based (insurance of or financial services, etc) it is less likely you will be successful
  • Customer focused with a proactive and solutions led approach.
  • Confidence with communicating effectively at multiple levels.
  • Commercially focused with an understanding of budgets and how to achieve targets.
  • Ability to remain calm while working under pressure and have a customer-oriented approach.
  • Team supervision, development, or management experience.
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly in Excel and ERP systems
