The Elders operate through private diplomacy and public advocacy; they use their experience, influence and access to heads of state and government to engage politically, and their connections to civil society to stand in solidarity with the most vulnerable people and communities.Based in London, the team operates in a collaborative, mission-driven environment, with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.Job DescriptionA Head of HR to:Lead global recruitment processes, from advising managers to overseeing interviews and contracts.Manage payroll data, benefits schemes, and annual remuneration reviews.Maintain HR policies, procedures, and compliance with employment law.Oversee performance management, appraisals, and staff development programmes.Champion employee engagement, well-being, and diversity initiatives.Partner with the SMT to lead conversations around remuneration and salary bench-markingProvide continuous career development and training to employeesAct as a trusted advisor to senior management, ensuring fair and consistent HR practicesManage the appraisal cycle including the gathering of 360 feedbackBe a thought partner to SMT on a wide variety of organisational matters, offering an HR lens and insightLead on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, ensuring it is proactively factored into all elements of the employee experienceAssist with other tasks as required, ensuring the smooth running of HR operationsThe Successful ApplicantThe ideal Head of HR candidate will be a seasoned HR Leader with experience across a broad range of HR functions. They will demonstrate strong technical knowledge of employment law, proven ability to influence senior teams, and experience managing international recruitment and remuneration processes. Excellent communication skills, discretion, confidence and a collaborative approach are essential, alongside a personal commitment to the mission and values of The Elders. The ideal candidate will have previous standalone and global recruitment experience.What's on OfferCompetitive salary: £74,100 - £80,100 per annum (FTE), depending on experience.Private pension scheme with 10% employer contributions.Optional private medical and dental insurance.Group life assurance (5x annual salary).28 days annual leave plus public holidays, with enhanced parental leave.Employee Assistance Programme.Hybrid working policy with a central London office near Green Park station.
