About Our Client

Michael Page Finance are delighted to be partnering a high performing subsidiary of a FTSE listed group.

The manufacturing subsidiary has been performing well within two business units that turnover circa £24million. They manufacture specialist products and have a reputation for quality.

As a result of an ERP project they are looking to back-fill the Financial Controller position for a circa 18 month Fixed Term Contract.

Job Description

Reporting to the subsidiary CFO, the Interim Financial Controller will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of 7-8 reports
  • Ensure a robust control environment
  • Period end close
  • Year end
  • All statutory accounting
  • Team development
  • Budgeting/Forecasting
  • Governance

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will ideally be:

  • A fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
  • Demonstrable experience within the manufacturing sector
  • Strong team management and leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor
  • Demonstrable experience as a Financial Controller
  • Strong systems skills
  • Able to work independently to tight deadlines
  • Able to start in February
