Job Description

The Material Planner will be responsible for;

  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to support production schedules.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Analyse production requirements and adjust procurement plans accordingly.
  • Identify and resolve supply chain issues to avoid production delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels and material usage.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to forecast material needs.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry standards.
  • Prepare reports on material planning and supply chain performance.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Material Planner should have:

  • Experience in procurement and supply chain within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and tools.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of material planning processes and best practices.
  • An understanding of production scheduling requirements.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commutable to South Bristol daily
