Ben began his career in logistics as a graduate management trainee with Exel (now DHL) where he gained experience in all areas of logistics and distribution operations. He joined Michael Page in the Leeds procurement and supply chain team before moving to Birmingham in 2006 to establish Michael Page’s presence in the logistics and distribution sector. As operating director, Ben is responsible for the continued growth and development of our specialist logistics recruitment teams across the Midlands and The South, covering temporary and permanent recruitment, and all management/director level roles within the sector.

Pete Simmonds, Operating Director
Pete’s role at Michael Page is operating director, responsible for driving the ongoing growth and development of our logistics business across the North of England and East Midlands. Pete began his career within the procurement and supply chain division, and in 2013 he transferred to the logistics discipline to lead and develop the teams within Manchester, Sheffield and Nottingham. He has been instrumental in developing an infrastructure within the region and has developed numerous key relationships with both global 3PL’s together with national players and local SME’s.

With a background in transport and recruitment, Chris joined Michael Page Procurement and Supply Chain in 2007, to focus on the logistics market. Having led teams across the Midlands, he is now responsible for the growth and development of the senior market at Michael Page Logistics across all sectors.

Phil Townend, Manager
Phil has over nine years’ experience with Michael Page, recruiting within the logistics sector across the Midlands. He spent over three years building the interim logistics business before moving to Milton Keynes to continue the development of Michael Page Logistics. From Milton Keynes, Phil currently manages both the Michael Page Logistics and Page Personnel Logistics teams, covering Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and the East of England.
Phil joined Michael Page Logistics in 2008 after three years with Enterprise Rent-A-Car where, after completing their graduate training scheme, he progressed to the position of branch manager.

Matthew Simpson, Managing Consultant
Matthew joined PageGroup’s East Midlands logistics hub in 2015. Working from our Nottingham office, he manages permanent and interim logistics across the Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Peterborough and Norfolk regions. He has been an integral part of growing the Page Personnel and Michael Page brands at both a consultant and managerial level. Matthew is responsible for driving the ongoing growth and development of the team, along with ensuring market coverage operating from two satellite offices in Leicestershire and Cambridge.

Charlotte Moore, Manager
Charlotte joined Michael Page in 2010 as a graduate with four years’ experience in transport planning. She is responsible for managing the Yorkshire and North East team, recruiting across Michael Page and Page Personnel, working with manufacturers, third-party logistics, business services, FMCG and retail clients. After working in the Page Personnel brand for 18 months, and following her success with high volume campaigns, Charlotte is now focused on the recruitment of middle and senior management roles within the logistics sector. These roles range from DC/warehouse managers to heads of inventory, interim project managers and depot managers.
