Page Personnel Logistics

Page Personnel Logistics works closely alongside the newly branded Michael Page Logistics business. Both focus on roles within stand-alone distribution centres, recruiting jobs from general managers to shift leaders.
Page Personnel Logistics has found that recruiting for the first line manager level; typically salaries of £20k - £30k, can present a unique set of challenges. We plan to take these in our stride with the launch of our new business by partnering closely with our clients to recognise their individual requirements to attract the best talent.
For example, as many CVs will look very similar on paper, it is important to take the time to meet and fully understand the candidates that we represent, to ensure that their skill sets are relevant and will add value to the organisations we recruit for.
Equally, because two people's CVs look similar doesn't mean that they have the same motivations and career ambitions. We have an in-depth knowledge of what kind of jobs and organisations are of interest to job seekers to ensure the best fit for everyone involved.
We are headquartered in Birmingham, in the midst of the central distribution hub of the UK, with plans to grow to London and beyond and mirror the national coverage of Michael Page Logistics, as quickly as possible. The Birmingham team covers the West Midlands area, and recruits both permanent and temporary roles. Job titles include:
  • Shift manager
  • Shift supervisor
  • Inventory manager
  • Warehouse shift manager
  • Warehouse shift supervisor
  • Warehouse first line manager
  • Inventory / stock controller
  • Transport shift manager
  • Transport supervisor
  • Transport planner
  • Logistics customer support
  • Logistics customer service executive
This area of the market currently has few recruiters dedicated to serving it, making the Page Personnel Logistics proposition fairly unique in the market. It can be tricky to source candidates of the "right quality in the right quantity on an ongoing basis," according to Doug Rode, managing director of Michael Page Logistics responsible for the business launch, "and that is where we believe we can significant value to this area of the market place"
